Christmas time is hear! Shaelee was sooo excited for Santa to come and to see what he brought her. She asked everyday for a week if it was Christmas yet. We went to Emrys' parents house for Christmas Eve and headed home because I had a ton of stuff to do. Shaelee complained about her tummy hurting but didn't think much about it since she didn't eat much for dinner because there really isn't much for us to eat there!
So we finally get all the kids to eat and I start setting up. Everything gets done and we hear her crying. We go upstairs and she is laying in our bed covered in throw up. Poor thing. She get thrown in the shower, Emrys washes our bedding and we get her back to bed. But she ended up throwing up all night long. I told my parents to be at the house around 7 so they were along with my brother and she didnt' wake up until 830. She still didn't feel good and tryed to enjoy Christmas as much as she could but it just wasn't the same. I was so excited to see her face when she walked down the stairs. Oh well there is always next year!
Overall, everyone had a great Christmas. Shaelee got more stuff than she even knows what to do with and the boys did well too. I can't wait for Christmas's to come when they all are excited and can enjoy themselves.
Oh and I thought I'd lost my camera...and found it later so no pictures!

SANTA!
Shaelee did great meeting Santa! She was very shy at first and I even thought she wasn't going to do it but she saw that candy cane and she went straight for it. I guess candy will motivate any child :) She got right on his lap and started talking to him. She is very unsure about what she wants for Christmas so she just babbles things that she wanted to him. Then I got the boys in Santa's lap too. WE actually got a nice photo of all three kids. The boys weren't the happiest but they didn't cry.
We had Shaelee's Christmas party tonight..and again Santa showed up. She did good again tonight. She also did great at her sing along. She did a great job singing and remembering the words. It was nice to sit back and watch her tonight. It's funny to see her with other children. She was very helpful to a couple of kids in the younger class. But regardless of all the friends she had there she still stuck by my side. She is such a mommas girl!

7 months
I can't believe the boys are 7 months old already! Time goes by so fast when they are young. I want my babies to stay babies (since I can't have any more). But they are growing fast.
Kellan and Kole are both eating oatmeal for breakfast every morning and some sort of veggie at night. I haven't given them any fruits yet since I'm sure they will have a sweet tooth so...They are also eating puffs and drinking water.
They just had a check up at six and a half months and the dr. said they were doing great. They are average in weight and height, maybe slightly under but according to our dr. since they weren''t born at 40 weeks they are a month behind. So instead of a 7 month old they act like a 6 month old. Regardless, they are rolling over, sitting up, pushing themselves up a lot. They love playing in their rainforest jumpy and chewing on their apple toys. They also love when Shaelee sings to them and plays with them. She doesn't do it much but when she does they laugh at her and smile.
Kellan started sleeping on his stomach and this might possibly be what gets him to sleep through the night!! I'm super excited about this....Momma is ready to sleep through the night again. I just have to get Kole doing it too, which is going to be very tough. He sleeps the best in his swing even though his swing isn't working right now. It doesn't even move but that is the only place he likes to sleep. He is going to be my stubborn child let me tell you.
I know Shaelee isn't 7 months old but...she is doing great too! She went shopping with money from her birthday and bought a dog. It's white just like Xela and it walks on a leash and barks. I guess it's a popular item out there with kids these days. I tired and tried to get her to get something else but she just wanted the dog :) She still goes to preschool Monday, Wednesday and Friday and goes to dance on Saturdays. She LOVES both school and dance. She is learning so much at school and is doing better each week at dance.
We are going to the inlaws for Thanksgiving. I get to bring the desert...bannana cream pie and oreo cookie desert. YUM>...............

October
Wow..October started off pretty rough. While at work Kellan suffocated himself while doing tummy time. The people watching the boys were off doing something else. I'm just very glad he was picked up when he was and he is alright. He was rushed to the ER and then on to Children's Hospital where we stayed over night. He was kept extra long but is doing great and there are no long term effects...thank god.
The rest of the month was pretty normal until the last week. My parents came to visit for Halloween weekend. My mom's birthday was on the 29th and we all went out to dinner. Then Shaelee's birthday was on the 31st...Halloween. She had such a great party and had such a great time. She was exhausted but did a great job through out the day. We did go trick or treating but only to a handful of houses.
Shaelee had a great weekend...but ended up sick :( She just has a cold as the dr. puts it but now everyone is sick!
And we are on to November.....

August
Back home and back to life again. Shaelee had her last two dance classes and she did great. She is going to continue dance in the fall. She also started preschool which she is loving. Hopefully she'll get moved up to the 4 year old class soon.
The boys are doing great. Growing and happy!! They finally have their dr. apt in September - they were so far out but I guess it's better than nothing. But I think they are going to get their 2 month and 4 month shots at once..yikes that could be a long day!
Other than that things are good. My parents made a quick stop with Bon and Dick on their way up the coast. We went to dinner with them and Zack and had a nice quick visit.

July

We went to NY for Jackies wedding in July and the boys did awesome on the flight. I couldn't have asked for better kids :) They really were amazing!! Once we got there we got our car and ALL of our luggage and set off to Aunt Jackie's house. Unfortunally the car ride wasn't as pleasent. Shaelee started crying which set the boys off and needless to say we had crying kids for like an hour. Oh well at least it was in the car and not the plane.
After that we just hung out and visited with friends. Shaelee road on a horse and LOVED it. It really surprised me. I didn't think she was going to get on the horse so that was a nice surprise. She also love playing with the rabbit and all the other farm animals at Mackenzies house. I think she could have moved right in :)
We had our photos done by Jeannette and they looked great! Like normal not all the kids were cooperating at the sametime but we still were able to get some good ones. We got to play with Shannon and her girls and then had lunch. We also saw Danielle, Chad and Santino. He is adorable. He's the third little baby in the one photo.
Jackie's wedding was great. Shaelee did an awesome job walking down the isle by herself...and she even stood there very nicely. She did get upset that Poppy (my dad) was walking Jackie down the isle - she thought Poppy should be marrying her. So after everything was said and done he walked her down the isle and the photographer took pictures. I can't wait to see them. She was a dancing fool at the wedding to. All three kids were very enjoyed at the wedding. Everyone wanted to hold the boys and get their time in. It was kind of nice having soo many people to help out.
Back to AZ - the flight back was again, AWESOME...other than my husband. He is scared of heights and hates to fly. This is actually the first time I've flown with him and I couldn't help but laugh at him..I know that's horrible! We got into the oven (AZ) and had to drive back to SD. Needless to say it was a long day. But we made it home safe and sound.

11 weeks

On Tuesday the boys were 11 weeks old and we took some pictures after bath time. They are very cute if I do say so myself!! We are getting ready for our trip to AZ and then to NY. We are driving to AZ and then flying with my dad to NY so I can have another hand on the plane with the three kids. Emrys will be joining us later in the week. Shaelee is super excited to go to NY and for Jackie's wedding. She can't wait to wear her 'wedding dress' and to get her hair done. I think she might think she is marrying Uncle Stevie!! I will post pictures of the wedding when we get home.

July

July has been off to a great start. Shaelee started dance classes and she loves it so far. I mean we've only had one class but still. She did great I was able to watch her on their tv set. I had a friend watch the boys but this next week I'll be bringing them to class with us. We'll see how that goes.
Poppy's birthday was Sunday the 11th. We called him and wish him a happy birthday. We sang on his voice mail and everything. Shaelee also went to her cousin Emily's birthday party on the 11th too. She had a great time playing with the kids and seeing her family.
We have dance class again this week and next. After next weeks class we are off to AZ to spend the day and then fly out to NY. The boys, Shaelee, me and my dad. Should be a great plane ride! Hopefully I make it through the plane ride :)
Then Aunt Jackie's wedding on the 31st. Shaelee is super excited. I'll post pictures when the time comes.
June
June was a very busy month for us. Aunt Jackie came to visit, my 6 weeks was up and we moved to San Diego.
All of us girls bought Jackie a plane ticket to AZ thinking that everyone would come out but it didn't work that way. Jackie is the only one that made it out. She was excited to get away for a bit and it was great seeing her. Although Shaelee thought she was only there to visit with her! She did a lot with Shaelee which was nice because Shaelee was on a horrible streak so for me and my parents it was nice.
I was cleared by my dr. and we moved on the 11th. Packed up everything we could fit and off we went. It was the longest car ride there EVER! We had to stop and feed the babies and then Shaelee and my dad had to drive slow in his car because he was pulling the trailor and....we finally made it but it was a long day.
That next week I started back to work. I know what you are all thinking but working keeps me sane. I levels me out. I'm a much better person if I can get out of the house and have adult interactions. Needless to say I'm still working.
Other than that we are just unpacking and adjusting to the next chapter in our lives.

May 2010

Kole came home on the 8th and Kellan on the 9th...great Mother's Day.
I am adjusting to having twins and a 3.5 year old. Shaelee is doing really well I'm really lucky that she is being sooo good right now. The boys are doing really good waking up every 3 hours to feed. They mostly sleep and eat right now and they are growing right on schedule.
They had their first dr. check up on the 11th and it was great. The dr. said they were both gaining weight and doing great. They had their second dr. apt on the 25th and again both gained a lot of weight and doing great. Other than being very tried everything is going good and we are enjoying our boys.
We also had a lot of visitors this month which was great for me. I enjoyed seeing everyone.
April 2010
Well...I'm going back to April before the twins were born.....
I have been going to the dr. twice a week for several weeks now. My apt on Tuesdays are just ultrasounds and on Fridays I have an ultrasound and dr. apt. Well on the 16th I went in everything normal. Getting pretty swollen by now and just really becoming uncomfortable. I was going to ask the dr. to take me out of work the following Friday on the 23rd. I wanted to make it to the 23rd because we were going on a field trip and I wanted to make it because I knew another teacher from our team wasn't going to be there. But Dr. Edwards had another thought. He couldn't believe I was still working! He pulled me out of work and actually sent me to the hospital. Once I got there we found out I was having contractions every 4 minutes but my cervix wasn't dilating so I got stuck on meds to stop the contractions and was sent home on Sunday. Went to work on Monday just to get stuff ready for the sub since I didn't have anything ready. I took it easy that next week, went to my apt on Tuesday and Friday and again...they stuck me back in the hospital. I told the dr. I wasn't going unless they were going to deliver me. Started crying..the whole bit! Needless to say he won and I went and he didn't deliver me!
They decided they wanted me to have another Echo and go from there - they were worried about my heart, all of the swelling and shifting of fluids after I delivered. So I had the Echo and they wanted a cardiac surgeon to look at the echo to see if I was going to have a procedure done on my heart before I deliver. Well needless to say the computer systems crashed and the surgeon never got the scans so they have to deliver them on Monday and he finally cleared me so they set me up to deliver on Tuesday the 27th.
I wasn't able to eat since dinner the night before or drink anything that really annoyed me but whatever. The nurse snuck me some ice chips :) The next morning came and we got going an hour later than normal but hey it was FINALLY going to happen today. They took me to the OR and got me ready to go. Everything was good until they went to put the arterial line in. It was horrible. The poked every artery in both arms. Finally I asked them to stop because it hurt so badly. They didn't like that so they gave me something to calm me down.
Meanwhile because they are giving me the medicine slowly and we are over an hour behind schedule my dr. needs to leave so he calls another dr. out of his conference to deliver me. Neither dr. was very happy about this but my dr. was presenting so couldn't really miss it. The new Dr. started cutting me open and I guess forgot to tell me. Emrys was sitting next to me and asked if I was going to sleep through their birth - remember they gave me "calming meds" yah put me to sleep.
Then I heard Kellan (baby A) cry it was 12:51 and then Kole (baby B) at 12:52. They cleaned the babies up and brought the over so I could see them. Both teams took the boys away to clean them off and warm them back up. Both boys had trouble breathing so needed some assistance. Emrys went right with the boys while they sewed me up. I guess Kole stopped breathing but they got him going again. Both boys went to the NICU and I went to ICU.
They wanted me in ICU to watch the shift in fluids and make sure my heart was going to do okay through everything. The boys went to the NICU for breathing and then eating. Kellan did great right away and it took Kole a little longer. Kellan ended up in the NICU for 12 days coming home on Mothers Day and Kole spend 11 days, coming home right before Mothers Day. Regardless it was a great Mother's Day present to have all my children with me happy and healthy.
